The Jewish cemeteries in Loerrach, Efringen-Kirchen and Muellheim, all three South Baden townships near the Swiss border where almost no Jews remain, have been placed under the guardianship of the Jewish Community at Basle, Switzerland, in accordance with a request addressed to it by the centuries-old Supreme Council of Israelites in Baden. Through negotiations with the local German authorities, the cemeteries have already been properly restored.
