Bonn Police Question Traffic Violators About Their Religions

This capital city of West Germany has introduced a question about religious affiliation into a revised edition of official forms used by the municipal police in listing identifying data on jaywalkers, parking violators, speeders and the like.

Observers here point out that Bonn’s newly-appointed police chief, Dr. Wilhelm Tegethoff, was not only a Nazi Party member but also Deputy Police President of Hanover during the last years of the Hitler regime.
