The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, which is made up of 22 major Jewish organizations in eight Western countries, today announced the re-election for a second term of all members of its executive committee, governing body of the Conference which was co-negotiator with the Israel Government in the $822,000,000 Bonn-Israel reparations agreement signed in September, 1952.
Dr. Nahum Goldmann was re-elected president of the executive committee. Other re-elected officers are: senior vice president, Jacob Blaustein, American Jewish Committee; vice presidents, Jules Braunschvig, Alliance Israelite Universelle; Samuel Bronfman, Canadian Jewish Congress; Dr. Rudolph Callman, Council for the Protection of the Rights and Interests of Jews from Germany; Adolph Held, Jewish Labor Committee; Barnett Janner, Board of Deputies of British Jews; Dr. Noah Barou, British section of World Jewish Congress; Sir Henry d’Avigdor Goldsmid, Central British Fund; Frank Goldman, B’nai B’rith; Dr. Israel Goldstein, Western Hemisphere section of World Jewish Congress; Dr. Isaac Lewin, Agudath Israel World Organization and Shad Polier, American Jewish Congress. The treasurer is Moses A. Leavitt of the Joint Distribution Committee. Saul Kagan was re-elected secretary of the executive committee.
