The Keren Hayesod, Israel Foundation Fund, has begun fund-raising again in Germany. The first appeal was made in Berlin at a dinner in honor of Siegfried Aufhaeuser, veteran trade unionist and former Socialist deputy in Parliament.
Menachem Karin, Keren Hayesod representative from Israel, presented Herr Aufhaeuser with an inscribed Bible from Jerusalem. The German trade union leader was a member of the Labor Palestine League and the German Pro-Palestine Committee before the Hitler era.
