Friedman-levov, Founder of First Hebrew Opera, Dies in Israel

Arieh Friedmann-Levov, founder of the first Hebrew opera company and a leading musical pedagogue, died here today. He was 71. He was also a founder and director of the Music Institute of Haifa. His widow is a sister of former Premier David Ben Gurion.
