“There must finally be an end to anti-Semitism in Holland,” the public prosecutor declared today, demanding a 14-day prison sentence for a Dutch carpenter accused of having told a Jewish student that he was sorry that the Jews had not all died in the Nazis’ gas chambers.

It has been learned in official circles that Queen Juliana will declare an amnesty involving reduction of sentences of all persons now imprisoned in Holland, including war criminals. The amnesty will be announced on May 5, the 10th anniversary of the liberation of Holland from the Germans.
