Israel Bans Construction of Public Buildings; Seeks Defense Funds

The Israel Cabinet put a ban today on the construction of public buildings or other structures. The move was in line with the policy of maximum economy so that the greatest possible portion of the Israel national income will be diverted to defense needs and to the cost of resettling North African Jewish immigrants.
