Tito Arrives in Cairo; Will Try to Mediate Egyptian-israeli Dispute

Marshal Tito of Yugoslavia today arrived in Cairo for a 10-day visit to Egypt. He is expected to discuss with Egyptian Premier Col. Gamal. Abdel Nassar the possibility of reaching an understanding with Israel.

Richard Crossman, Labor Party Member of Parliament who is visiting Middle East capitals to try to effect reconciliation between the Arab states and Israel, had a 90-minute talk in Cairo today with Egypt’s Col. Nasser, according to information received here.

After the conference. Col. Nasser placed a special plane at Mr. Crossman’s disposal for a visit to the Nitzana (El Auja) demilitarized zone, where the recent Egyptian-Israel clashes took place. According to Mr. Crossman’s itinerary as announced here, he will go to Jordan Friday, and follow his Jordanian visit with a trip to Israel. He is scheduled to meet government leaders both in Jordan and Israel.
