Israel Technical Institute Votes 4,397,000 Pound Budget for Fiscal Year

The Board of Governors of the Israel Technical Institute voted a 4,397,000 pound budget for the Technion for the next fiscal year, it was announced here today following the close of the Board meeting. The Board, which included United States and British members as well as Israelis, urged the Technion to institute a program of study in nuclear engineering.

A cornerstone was laid this week-end for the Benjamin Cooper School of Industrial Management at the new campus here of the Institute. Mr. Cooper, head of a New York engineering firm specializing in automation work, contributed $100,000 for the construction of the school, which will supply skilled technical and administrative personnel for Israel’s business world.
