Solon Low, national leader of the Social Credit Party, has hit out sharply at the leader ship of the same party in Quebec which, he charged has by its continuous anti-Semitism and Jew-baiting embarrassed the national party.
This charge has been denied by Louis Even, head of the Quebec section of the Social Credit movement. Mr. Even, whose fortnightly publication has serialized the notorious forgery “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” insists that Mr. Low himself is responsible for reports of anti-Semitism by the Quebec section of the party, which in Quebec is known as the Union of Electors.
The exchange between Messrs. Low and Even has been set off by the Quebec party’s alliance with the Liberal Party in Quebec against the administration of Premier Duplessis. This has been a source of embarrassment to the national party which in the Ottawa Parliament is in opposition to the Liberal Party headed by Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent.
