State Department sources expressed gratification today at the news that President Nasser of Egypt had agreed to meet the five-nation mission designated by the recent 22-nation conference to London to discuss with his plans for international control of the Suez Canal. His agreement was described as indicating a “more realistic approach.”
The London conference, which saw 18 nations lining up in support of the Dulles for an international control of the canal, achieved its three main objectives, it was inserted here.
