Lester B. Pearson, Canadian Minister of External Affairs, said today that Canada that Canada is still considering Israel’s request for purchase of 24 Sabrejet fighter planes. He said he did not wish this question to be confused with the present crisis over the Suez Canal.
On the eve of his departure to attend a special meeting of the NATO Council, Mr. Pearson said Canada would urge Egypt to accept the 18-power London parley majority proposals as a basis for negotiation on the Suez issue.
