The United States Government has quietly resumed aid to Egypt after withholding shipments because of the Suez crisis and Egyptian President Nasser’s hostility toward the West. Locomotives, heavy machinery, transportation equipment, and newsprint have moved to Egypt in the last few weeks. This aid is part of a $20,000,000 backlog on which delivery was held up-since mid-August. State Department and ICA spokesman sought to deny that aid for Nasser was ever officially halted.
