The Hebrew University opened the new academic year today with a ceremony attended by students, members of the faculty and the Minister of Education, Zalman Aranne. The ceremony was held on the new campus.
The student body has increased once again, it was announced at the opening ceremony. Six thousand men and women are enrolled in the University’s various schools. The faculty has been increased in proportion. Both Mr. Aranne and Prof. Benjamin Mazar, president of the University praised the scientific achievements of the University.
