The survival of American Jewry as “a positive community” is threatened by the defects in its youth programs, B’nai B’rith president Philip M. Klutznick said last night. Keynoting the three-day convention of B’nai B’rith’s District 5, Mr. Klutznick said that the post-war neglect of the burgeoning youth population in America “is reflected in the Jewish community where a lack of understanding of the needs of Jewish education and youth guidance can mean defaulting on the promise of a golden era of Jewish aspirations which the history of our times has opened to us.”
