Dulles Names Two American Jews to U.S. Commission for UNESCO

Secretary of State Dulles today appointed two distinguished Americans of the Jewish faith to the U.S. National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. They are Eugene Ormandy, conductor of the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, and Professor David G. Mandelbaum, world-famous University of California anthropologist. The Commission advises the State Department on UNESCO affairs and acts as a link between the American people and UNESCO.
