Diplomatic sources said today that Israel may soon ask Canada to lift its ban on shipping Canadian Sabre jet fighter planes to Israel. Before a ban was imposed last October 31, Israel had negotiated a $7,200,000 contract with Canadian, Ltd., for 24 Sabre jets. The government withdrew its approval of the transaction during the Sinai campaign.
