For the third successive day, the Arab delegates in the United Nations General Assembly’s special political committee obtained an adjournment of the Arab refugee debate on the grounds they were not yet ready to discuss the refugee relief resolution which was introduced by the United States and several other members yesterday.

The political committee met briefly in the morning and the afternoon, each session being cancelled in turn. Many delegations were of the opinion that one reason for the Arab delegates’ stalling was the fact that they wanted to concentrate their top forces first of all in the sessions of another committee dealing with the Algerian problem. It is understood here that actually the Arabs have already indicated substantial agreement to the American draft.
