The American Jewish Congress urged last night an immediate “comprehensive and unified attack against discrimination and social injustice” on all government levels.

The demand was voiced by AJC president Dr. Israel Goldstein, at a dinner at which the organization’s Stephen Wise award was given to former Federal Judge J. Waties Waring for his “outstanding contributions to the advancement of civil rights.” The award was a bronze plaque and check for $1,000.
