There is a much better understanding in Washington these days of Israel’s problems, including the Jewish State’s needs in the current Middle East crisis, Mrs. Rose Halprin, acting chairman of the Jewish Agency executive in New York, declared here today upon her arrival from the U.S.

Mrs. Halprin, who came to attend a Jewish Agency plenary session in Jerusalem, expressed the opinion that the executive ought to proceed with consideration of the scheduled agenda and not spend its time and energies on a discussion of the latest Middle East developments. Replying to a question from newsmen, she said that world Jewry was always on the alert and united around Israel whatever happens.
