The Israel Embassy has approached the British Foreign Office in an effort to determine the conditions under which an Arab League anti-Israel Boycott Office has been opened in the British protectorate of Bahrein and in Kuwait. The foreign affairs office in Kuwait is directed by a British political agent.

It was reported that while British Foreign Office inquiries into the development had not been completed, both Israel and British officials here were understood to believe that the new Arab League office had a strictly symbolic value. First reports showed that the new office has neither funds nor working staff.

Well informed sources here called the incident “insignificant” and as “most unlikely even to cause a ripple” in Anglo-Israel relations.
