A German non-Jewish woman residing in Munich has left a legacy of $125,000 pounds to the State of Israel with specific instructions that none of the property should “fall into Aryan hands,” It was disclosed here today.
The Ministry of Justice, disclosing the bequest, said that the donor had explained that her properties had been confiscated by the Nazis and therefore she was determined that her property should not fall into German hands again. The property includes extensive farm holdings in West Germany.
The Ministry reported that legacies to the State of Israel from abroad during the past year totalled more than 1,000,000 Israeli pounds.
