The property of Jews who left Iraq will be auctioned off in the central marketplace of Bagdad tomorrow, Radio Bagdad announced today. An estimated 130,000 Iraqi Jews quit Iraq for Israel in the past 10 years.

The Israeli Government has repeatedly stated that the property Iraqi Jews were forced to leave behind as a condition of emigration will have to be computed in any payment of compensation to the Palestine Arab refugees.

Israel, which has pledged an overall compensation settlement to the Arab refugees, has Insisted that the value of property of all Jews seized when they quit Arab countries for Israel, would be deducted from the final compensation figure to be paid out by Israel.
