More planes were hurled into action today against the swarms of locusts which have covered huge areas in the Western Negev and threatened widespread crop destruction.
Ministry of Agriculture officials called it the biggest swarms attacking Israel in many years. All members of settlements in the infested area have been recruited for locust action.
