Premier David Ben Gurion’s recent hint that immigration from the Soviet Union might yet start has a solid base, the Mapam newspaper Al Hamish-mar reported here today.

The report said that Mr. Ben Gurion had been informed that the Soviet authorities had displayed an interest in technical aspects of the exodus of Rumanian Jewry. It was stressed that the Russians had made no contact with Israeli diplomats in seeking this information.
