Jewish Educators Open Three-day Convention Today in Pittsburgh

Major developments and trends in Jewish education during the past year will be discussed at the three-day annual conference of the National Council for Jewish Education which opens here tomorrow. Jewish educators of all Jewish ideological groupings in the United States, Canada and Mexico will participate in the deliberations.

The discussions will center around the following important areas in the field of Jewish educations the Jewish teenager, the successes and failures of Jewish secondary education of all types, curriculum for accreditation of schools and periodic and collateral reading material for the Jewish child and adolescent.

The adoption of a Code of Practice for administrative and supervisory personnel in central agencies and local bureaus of Jewish education, for administrators and supervisors of elementary Jewish schools and for teachers in Hebrew high schools and colleges for the training of Jewish teachers, will constitute an important part of the conference agenda.
