Rumanian authorities have in recent months arrested all Rumanian Jews who have ever worked for the Israel Legation in Bucharest, trustworthy sources reported here today.

The arrests began last April. The last arrest took place this month. All of the victims had occupied routine clerical jobs and had been employed with the consent of the Rumanian authorities. No reasons have been given for the arrests, according to the report.

Among those seized was a woman secretary who had lived with her mother for some time in Israel and who had been assured repeatedly by the police that she would be allowed to leave Rumania.
