The Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York will seek to raise an unprecedented campaign goal of $21,250,000 to maintain its 116 member hospitals, health and welfare agencies and to finance new advances in medical and social services in these agencies, it was announced today by Irving Mitchell Felt, chairman of the 1959-60 campaign. The campaign goal of $21,250,000 is the largest for local health and welfare services in the history of philanthropy, Mr. Felt Said.
Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller and Mayor Robert F. Wagner will be principal speakers at the opening dinner of the campaign to be held next Tuesday evening, at the Hotel Plaza.
