Meeting under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Levi Esbkol, while Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion was still confined to his home with a cold, Israel’s new Cabinet today discussed, among other items, a new bill to be presented to Parliament this week, affirming the “collective responsibility” rule in the new coalition Government.

Under the “collective responsibility” draft, each party represented in the coalition would agree to withhold opposition to any measure proposed by the Cabinet, once such a measure was adopted by a Cabinet majority.
