Israeli diplomatic representatives abroad were instructed by the Foreign Ministry today to communicate to the governments to which they are accredited, the “deep stock” of the people and government of Israel over the outbreaks of anti-Semitism throughout the world.

The Foreign Ministry directive instructed the Israeli representatives to cite the Knesset declaration of Justice Minister Pinchas Rosen that Israel is most sensitive to developments abroad affecting the Jewish people, and is deriving moral support from the fact that the current outbursts represent neither official policy nor the enlightened opinion of the peoples concerned.

The diplomats were also told to stress the need for striking at the roots of “these despicable manifestations,” in order to prevent isolated incidents from reaching catastrophic proportions able to endanger entire peoples and humanity itself.
