The West German Government has finally decided to provide compensation to stateless persons who had been persecuted by the Nazi regime but have been refused compensation, it was reported today.

The Federal Government plans to set up a fund to indemnify the “national persecutees,” non-Germans who opposed the Nazis and suffered for their opposition but who were not considered in the postwar compensation programs to have been persecuted on grounds of race, religion or ideology.
