The Board of Deputies of British Jews had approached the Soviet Ambassador in London with a view to discussing with him the situation of the Jews in the Soviet Union; however, no answer has been received thus far from the envoy, it was reported here today by Barnett Janner, president of the representative body of British Jewry.

At its meeting yesterday, the Board of Deputies adopted a resolution “taking the strongest exception to the suggestion that the British Government should afford to German armed forces facilities for military training within the British Isles.” The Board discussed the subject at great length and most of its members voiced the opinion that the Board should declare its stand under all circumstances.
