Walton H. Bachrach, vice-mayor of Cincinnati, has been elected mayor of the city. The five Republicans on the nine-member city council voted in caucus to elect him.
Mayor Bachrach had been vice-mayor since January 1956, and will serve as mayor until December 1961. He is a member of Rockdale Temple.
