A grant of $225,000 in Federal funds to the Tucson Jewish Community Council will make it possible to start construction on a Jewish Nursing Home for the Aged early next spring, the council said today.

The funds were provided under the Hill-Burton Act on a matching basis; The 40-bed facility will cost $500,000. Tucson Jewish officials met with the Arizona State Board of Hospitals to obtain approval of the project and the way is clear to start the Home, which will be built near the Tucson Medical Center.
