The Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University has raised more than a third of the $27,500,000 it is seeking for its development program, it was announced here today. Of the total sought, $10,350,000 has been raised, the college announced.
The announcement came after a special convocation held yesterday, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the college’s inception. Dr. Samuel Belkin, president of the university, conferred special, honorary degrees, during the ceremonies, on Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson; Dr. Rene Jules Dubos, professor at the Rockefeller Institute; and Dr. Ernst Boris Chain, Nobel prize winner.
