Israel Ambassador Avraham Harman was last night awarded the World Peace Award of the Golden Slipper Square Club, a Masonic organization to which many of the Philadelphia Jewish communal leaders belong.
Governor David Lawrence, who addressed the dinner at which the presentation took place, lauded Ambassador Harman for his devotion to peace. “It is certainly appropriate that it should be awarded to Ambassador Harman for he has devoted his life to the cause of peaceful relations between nations of the world,” the Governor declared.
