Adele R. Levy Fund Gives $1,500,000 Art Collection to Museums

A collection of modern art valued at $1,500,000 is being given to 15 museums in the United States by the Adele R. Levy Fund, Inc., of which Richard E. Deutsch, Mrs. Levy’s son, is president. Mrs. Levy is the daughter of the late Julius Rosenwald, prominent Jewish philanthropist.

Included in the collection of 25 paintings are works by Matisse, Manet, Degas, Seurat, Cezanne, Utrillo, Corot, Renoir and Roualut. Among the museums to receive the paintings are the Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the National Gallery in Washington, D. C. and the Institute of Arts in Chicago.
