Two Policemen Suspended in Germany; Charged with Killing Jews

Hamburg police officials announced today the suspension of Wilhelm Vestring, 54, a police constable. He was alleged to have taken part in the slaughter of Jews in Nazi-occupied Poland during the war.

Vestring has been a Hamburg police officer since the end of the war. A 52-year-old police officer was suspended in Flensburg for similar reasons.
