The showing of the film “Exodus,” dealing with the struggle to establish the Jewish State in Palestine, opened on schedule last night in two theaters without incident. Both cinemas were filled. All members of the Israel Embassy here, led by the Israel Ambassador, attended the opening.

The manager of the two theaters, Louis Michaelides, ignored pressures from Arab governments and threats from gunmen who, he said, had warned him his theaters would be wrecked if he showed the film.
