More than 4,000 delegates from all parts of the United States will attend the 67th national convention of the Jewish War Veterans which opens here on Wednesday, it was announced here today. The convention will last five days.
The Resolutions Committee of the JWV today started to consider more than 100 resolutions to be presented to the convention. The resolutions deal with various aspects of Jewish life. Addressing the committee, National Commander Theodore Brooks urged the organization to pass strong resolutions on ways of combatting the ultra-right groups.
Commander Brooks pointed out that “although they will not admit kinship, there is a strong resemblance between members of the ultra-right groups and the so-called lunatic fringe which advocates support of fascism and receives its inspiration from the tenets of Nazism.”
