Two Swiss citizens have been arrested here on charges of illegally supplying information to Israeli intelligence officers about a Swiss company that has been allegedly aiding Egypt’s Jet engine projects, according to an announcement by Swiss authorities last night. The men were named as Johann Neeser, 37, and Eilli Naeff, 32.
The Federal prosecutor’s office said the men had been employed by the Swiss firm of Motoren, Turbinen und Pumpen, which is headed by an Egyptian, Kamil Hassan Sayed. The firm had been reported building jet engines for the Egyptian air force. According to the charge, the men had voluntarily contacted Israeli intelligence officers in Paris, and had provided the latter with reports, documents and photographs about the company’s deliveries to Egypt and about the progress of jet engine work being carried on in Egypt.
