Israel today ratified an extradition agreement with Sweden which was signed in Stockholm in September. While the agreement follows the pattern of similar pacts between Israel and other West European countries, a new feature of the Swedish accord is a stipulation that “a person is not to be extradited if the requested side has reason to believe he would be brought to trial because of his race, creed or political conviction.”
