The Belgian League for Human Rights adopted a resolution against religious policy in the Soviet Union referring specifically to anti Jewish actions by Soviet authorities.
The resolution protested the closing of synagogues, the ban on matzoh baking two years an a row and the anti-Semitic book, “Judaism Without Embellishment,” published under auspices of the Ukrainian Academy of Science. The resolution called on the Soviet authorities to act to prevent a repetition of such measures.
