The CARE organization announced today that it will outfit vocational training centers throughout Israel with tools to prepare new immigrants for factory work in Israel. The announcement was made by Robert G. Trott, CARE’s mission chief in Israel. He said the new CARE self-help program in Israel was a new one for the agency, long associated with distribution of kosher food packages in Israel.

Mr. Trott reported that the self-help program, to be co-sponsored by the Israeli Ministry of Labor, will train youngsters from Iraq, Yemen and Morroco farm backgrounds for a six-month period to make them eligible for skilled factory positions. He and his staff of 12 Israelis will assure that the equipment, including auto mechanic and metal working kits, is properly installed and used.
