El Al Israel Airlines today announced the purchase of a new long-range 707-320B International Jet from the Boeing Company for delivery in January 1966; The 320B is the latest passenger version of the Boeing 707;
Designed to serve very long route segments, the 320B is considered uniquely suitable for the route network of El Al, which operates the longest regularly scheduled commercial service in existence with its non-stop flights between New York and Tel Aviv. With the acquisition of the 320B, El Al plans to expand its non-stop service to include Tel Aviv-New York, Tel Aviv-Nairobi, and Nairobi-Tel Aviv.
