The Jordanian Government is considering dropping the ban on the granting of entry visas to Jews, according to reports today in the Jordanian press. The reported move was said to be in response to pressure by Jordan’s Ambassador in Washington, who stressed that the ban was doing more harm than good, in view of the growing number of American Jews, who, he said, desired to visit Jordan. Other Arab envoys in Washington were reported to have made similar recommendations to their governments.
