Jewish Military Chaplains in Pacific Open Religious Retreat in Tokyo

A religious retreat for all Jewish military chaplains serving with the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific began here yesterday under the direction of Rabbi Aryeh Lev, director of the National Jewish Welfare Board Commission on Jewish Chaplaincy.

Rabbi Lev is conducting the retreat, which will end Friday, at the invitation of the Chief of Chaplains of the U.S. Army. During the four day sessions, the chaplains from Japan, Okinawa, Hawaii, Korea and the Philippines are participating in prayer, study and discussion of current Jewish issues.
