The Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, today rejected separate motions introduced by Herut, Mapam, the Liberal Party and the Communists, calling for general debate on the announcement last week by the West German Government that it would not extend beyond the May 8, 1965 cutoff date the Statute of Limitations for Nazi war crimes. The House then decided unanimously to refer the matter to the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Security Committee.
