Gregorio Shapiro Reelected President of Central Jewish Body in Mexico

Gregorio Shapiro was reelected here as president of the Jewish Central Committee of Mexico, the representative body of Mexican Jewry. The noted leader, who is very active in Zionist affairs, yielded to demands that he serve again, for a two-year term. Also reelected, as general secretary, was Z.A. Berebichez, a writer and leader in Mexican Jewish cultural affairs.

The seven other posts on the Central Committee’s presidium were allocated to representatives of the seven Jewish communities represented on the committee. Four vice-presidents were chosen. They are Alberto Saltiel, Fernando Jeno, Marcos Sacal and Ladislao Klein.
