Prof. Ernst Bergman, who resigned earlier this-week as chairman of Israel’s Atomic Energy Commission in a policy dispute, criticized the Government today for “failure to understand the problem.”
Writing in “New Look,” the publication of former Premier David Ben-Gurion’s dissident Israel Workers Party (Rafi), Prof. Bergman warned that, if Israel did not continue its scientific efforts, the Arab countries would, within two generations, bridge the scientific gap separating them from Israel.
